"So, tell me about yourself."
I am an actor and singer, born to an Irish-American father and a Filipino mother.
I always start off by saying something along these lines because it explains a lot about who I am. I grew up around two very different cultures and raised by parents who could not have been more opposite. My dad is the life of the party and doesn't take bullshit from anybody. My mom drinks alkaline water and likes to stay home and garden.
As a result, I'm a little bit of both of them. I have become a young woman with a very diverse world inside of her.
I'm warm, but I'm strong.
I'm goofy, but hard-working and driven.
I'm elegant but with an edge.
I also think coming from two very different backgrounds is why I am so compassionate to all kinds of stories and why I want to share them.
How did I get into acting? The story goes that I hopped on my grandfather’s pool table and starting singing the “I Love You” song from Barney when I was about 4 years old. Seeing what a ham I was, my mom thought it might be a good idea to put me in theatre classes. I took my passion to Boston University and LAMDA where I received a BFA in Acting, magna cum laude.
When I’m not acting or singing, you can find me teaching fitness classes with exhale and going to the beach every chance I can get. Usually the Jersey Shore.
